Feeling good

people at the recording studios

Here's a poem written by Lady Sherwood, one of the participants in our recent workshops:

I know a song which is four minutes long,
It gives me the hope to help me cope.
When times are bad and i am sad,
This song uplifts my mood a tad.
Feeling Good by musicnet,
Is to me the best song yet.
Give the song a try and you'll soon see why,
That when it comes to sound -its the best around!

Lady said she'd been listening to the song over and over again since we completed it.

The workshops, funded by the Mark McQueen foundation, ran for a couple of weeks in November. A small group went into Catalyst Studios to create and record some music. We didn't have any plan in advance - we were happy to go with the skills and interest of the participants.

In the end, we produced one song that had input from a much larger group of people - including St Helens Gospel Choir and the Mayor, Cllr Terry Shields.

Thank you to everyone involved.
