RLPO and Vasily Petrenko have been announced as finalists in the Classic FM Gramophone Awards 09

Vasily Petrenko conducting the RLPO in Tchaikovsky’s Manfred Symphony, The Voyevoda, has been named as one of just three recordings to be in with a chance of taking the prestigious Gramophone title of Best Orchestral Recording. The thousands of recordings that have been released over the past 12 months have been sifted and sorted by the Gramophone world-class panel of judges and, after deep consideration, they have arrived at a shortlist for this year’s Classic FM Gramophone Awards... with Liverpool’s very own RLPO as a strong contender.
