Brass Band lovers are in for a treat if they make it to the Theatre Royal on Sunday 15th November 2009.
From 9am to 6.30pm or so there are Bands from far and wide competing in the Wilkinson Northern Open.
They all choose their own programme, so they play to their strengths and you'll hear a wonderful variety of music.
Twenty-five or thirty bands will compete, starting with the Fourth Section bands, with the top bands playing late afternoon.
Rainford Band do the stewarding so they won't be competing, but there are usually lots of local faces there.
Where else can you hear great music all day for £5?
Comfortable seats, the bar will be open, and you can pop out for lunch and come back later to hear more! How come more people don't know about this little gem on our doorstep?
