Awards Evening
We are holding a volunteer awards evening at the end of October and are interested in having local people provide music for approx an hour before the main event. We had hoped to have something like a string quartet to give people the opportunity to experience hearing live classical music

Great to hear somebody asking for some live classical music! I've passed the request to St Helens Sinfonietta (www.sinfonietta.org.uk/). They are all professional musicians, so it may depend what sort of budget you have. I assume the meeting will be in St Helens? And do you have a definite date yet?

Our event is being held centrally at the Park Inn in St Helens on the 30th October 2008
A big thank you to music-net for their website and to the St Helens Sinfonietta who replied and located us a local string quartet.
