String and Wind Soloists of St Helens Sinfonietta bring us a programme of lovely small ensemble pieces, the little gems which were the staple of musical evenings in the days before broadcasting.
Beethoven: Septet (string and wind instruments)
Spohr: Octet (string quintet, clarinet, two horns)
Dvorak: Serenade (for nine winds with cello and bass)
