Superorchestra and Supersing – Your chance to perform with professional musicians at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall!

Leadership Development Days

Are you interested in developing your leadership skills? In a small cultural organisation of 1-5 employees? These free development days will inspire you!

One of the participants on a previous course has said: "It truly is a fantastic programme that I would unreservedly recommend to even the most seminar/workshop wary professional. I actually feel that I can see a clear way forward - nothing drastic or even earth shattering - I can just see clearer. Most, if not all of us found it a genuinely refreshing space. A fun, focused and realistically pitched day. A resource that has been long overdue in the creative and cultural sector."

Hub Festival: band search

HUB festival has joined forces with Streetwaves this year so that the winners of the annual contest will get a chance to perform at the Festival.

HUB Festival is the UK's biggest and best, award winning urban youth festival. From 29th - 30th May (11-6pm), they take over Otterspool Prom for two days of break dancing, tricks and art. Pete King and his team at King Ramps will bring Europe's largest portable vert ramp, and there will be appearances from the UK's top riders, competitions, give-a-ways, free promos and after show parties to look forward to.

School of everything

School of everything is a teaching and classes database for the UK.

If you're a teacher of music it could help you to get listed on the School of Everything. The more websites you're on, the stronger web presence you will have and the more links to your lessons will come up from a google search.

If you want to learn about anything, including music, it's a good starting point to find out what's on offer across the country.

Thanks to Tom from UC Crew for the reminder.

Mozart magic at the U.R.C.

Sinfonietta logo

For its first orchestral event of the year the St. Helens Sinfonietta had lined up an all-Mozart programme, for which Alan Free came to the podium bearing proudly aloft the orchestra’s trophy from the St. Helens Cultural Awards 2010 – the “Creative Arts Award (professional practice)”. Mozart is always a sure-fire winner, and the orchestra had played most of the programmed items before, but the concert well displayed the steadily rising standards that have made the Sinfonietta eminently award-worthy.
