Queens Hall Studio news
Fantastic news from Loose over in Halton - they've secured funding for four youth music worker posts. Loose took over the near-derelict Queens Hall Studio after it closed in 2004. They have now secured all the funding and are nearing completion on building repairs.
Jaki Florek says they'll be looking for four inspirational and enthusiastic people who have a varied range of abilities, skills and experience. The 20 hour posts will require evening and weekend working to support young people in a variety of activities, including performances and gigs.
A Feast of Skill and Beauty
A true master of his instrument, Scott Bradley delivered a coruscating classical guitar recital on Saturday evening (10th October) under the banner of St. Helens Sinfonietta at the United Reformed Church. Ten flying fingers on six hardworking strings produced at times more notes to the second than you would have thought physically possible, and in the quieter moments the time-honoured instrument uttered the tender, throbbing. romantic sounds for which it is equally famous.
Citadel - job opportunities

World Mental Health Day activities
Music-net is pleased to be supporting World Mental Health Day. We know that music affects our whole mood and that it's important for our wellbeing.
World Mental Health Day is an international event on the 10th October. But that clashes with quite an important date for St Helens and rugby..... when everyone is heading off to Old Trafford - look out for the health promotions team there.
